How do I return a telephone handset rented from Eircom?
There are two procedures when returning Eircom rental equipment (handsets):
Eircom customers
Contact Eircom on 1901 with your account number (this can be found on the front of your Eircom bill)
- Choose the 'Sales Enquiry' option
- Then choose the 'Other Request' Option
- Instructions will be given to the customer on how to return the equipment - The return process will depend on the type of equipment the customer is renting.
If you pay your line rental to another operator but are still renting an Eircom telephone handset
Contact your line rental operator requesting to cease renting the equipment. Your operator will:
- Request you dispose of the equipment in an environmentally friendly manner and will request Eircom to terminate the rental agreement.
=OR= - You can return the equipment via Eircom logistics (your operator will inform you of the freepost address) including details of your account number (with your line rental operator) and telephone number indicating you are not an Eircom customer. As above your operator will request Eircom to terminate the rental agreement.
