Changing your Mobile Operator

You now have the option of changing from one operator to another without any fuss - you can even keep your full mobile number through Mobile Number Portability (MNP). Typical reasons for changing may include costs, coverage and phone upgrade policies. You should ensure you are well informed before deciding to sign-up to an alternative operator.

It is important to check your contractual obligation to your existing mobile operator before initiating any change.

Each mobile network can have a different coverage area, depending on the number of mobile towers in use, the local terrain and technology used. It is important to check that the service you are considering has good coverage where you expect to use it most. Ask your mobile operator about coverage in your area.  You could also check with your friends and family who use the same mobile phone company in the areas you want to use your phone, to confirm that the coverage is adequate.
