Is ComReg responsible for the regulation of premium rate numbers?

Yes. Since 12 July, 2010, ComReg regulates the content and promotion of Premium Rate Telecommunications Services.  Premium Rate Services (PRS) are goods and services that you can buy by charging the cost to your landline or mobile phone bill. Our job is to protect consumers by enabling them to make informed choices.
